I was having this very discussion earlier today.

I asked. how you define art if anything can be art, even if it's not intended.. (or really stupid & pointless)

I was picturing Duchamp's Fountain the whole time.

Two art movements she mentioned:

Dada

Mannerism

They were movements that reacted to art that had gone before.

Dada was an "anti-art" movement. However, what it spawned continues to influence art today.
